Gwen Stefani has hinted at an uncertain future for No Doubt, despite the band’s upcoming reunion at the 2024 Coachella music festival. In a recent interview with Nylon, Stefani revealed that while she’s “open to anything,” there are currently no plans for new No Doubt music or a potential tour following their Coachella performance. She described the reunion as “a really nice bow to tie on the relationship,” reflecting on their deep connection on stage, but admitted that the band has yet to rehearse or spend much time together in preparation.
Stefani described the Coachella reunion as “a long time coming” but acknowledged that the band members, including Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont, and Adrian Young, haven’t been in close communication or spent much time together leading up to the event. When asked about the band’s dynamics, Stefani mentioned that they “probably” need therapy, acknowledging the “water under the bridge” between them, particularly since their last album, *Push and Shove*, which she previously described as a “confused” and difficult project to complete.
Reflecting on the challenges of making their 2012 album, Stefani admitted that she was trying to please everyone, which left her feeling conflicted. Despite some good songs on the record, she expressed regret, stating, “I don’t want to talk about it,” highlighting the lingering tensions within the band as they approach their much-anticipated reunion at Coachella.
